Project 1:1000 Grammar Assistance includes flagging grammar issues present in the first full (1000-word) text portion of a Submission (1 picture + 1000 words). It is offered as an optional service for Project 1:1000 Sessions.
The process is as such:
- Session Participant submits 1000-word (first draft) text portion of a Submission.
- Project 1:1000 Session Administrator copies text to a new Google Document (new tab)..
- Project 1:1000 Session Administrator proofreads text, flagging/labeling grammar issues.
- Project 1:1000 Session Administrator tallies those flagged issues.
- Project 1:1000 Session Administrator provides a link to the updated Google document, now complete with issues flagged, along with a tally of flagged issues. There will also be a link that offers a starting point to learn about proper grammar and correct mistakes.
As a matter of logistics, quoting, and billing, it is outside the scope of our abilities to provide ongoing grammatical assistance beyond the first draft. We also believe that it is of great benefit to highlight/label problems. but not offer the corrections and their explanations. We believe it is up to the Session Participant to use any English/grammar books on hand; the Internet (starting links will be provided); and/or regular teachers, parents, guardians, or mentors that might be of assistance.
